Beautiful Lies is a film and slide exhibition of my work spanning three decades, from my experimental animation of the 70’s through to music videos, art and current installation films.
The centrepiece of the exhibition is a new installation film entitled Beautiful Lies, being a mosaic of 150 commercials that have been assembled into pulsations, rhythms and patterns and projected onto multiple screens.
Beautiful Lies deals with the theme of consumer manipulation and deception by beauty, examining the hypocrisy of the artist who sacrifices truth in order to make art.
