The photographs are produced by transporting two movable light devices with wheels to different sites. These light devices function as theatrical lights conveyed to places in the rural and suburban landscapes of north Mexican cities during the night. Forming a constructed frame that light objects, landscapes and buildings that otherwise will be in total darkness, this view alters the viewed object permanently, not being graspable in its true nature, resembling images of discoveries in the deep sea, making evident the presence of the photographer/viewer as a disturber. These devices break the photographic narrative of object/landscape as a whole, lighting only fragments, altering the perceptual narrative of the place, creating a new one. This project reveals a world in a process of re-discovery, of re-articulation of given space, as a metaphor of alert on our own territories, showing the open gap of our spatial narratives.
